SO/PR-01Questions

Frequently asked questions

How does the AI engineer work?
SmoothOperator reads the sim's telemetry in real time and sends it to the model. The AI analyses tyres, fuel, gaps and conditions to give you voice calls like a real pit-wall engineer.
What is a “unit” and how much does each thing use?
Your allowance is measured in AI credits, not calls, and it is a single monthly allowance (no daily cap): each action deducts what it really costs us. An engineer reply (text + voice) or a push-to-talk question uses very little. That way the plan's cap is the same however you spread your usage. In numbers: an engineer reply with voice costs about 2 credits and a push-to-talk question about 3 (long replies weigh a little more). Rookie's 600 credits give about 200 voice questions a month, and Pro's 1,500 about 500.
Which plan should I pick for my kind of racing?
Rookie: sprints, qualifying and anyone who races now and then. Pro: 1-2 h races, regular stints and endurance with driver swaps. Creator: long daily streams and usage rights for your channel/brand.
Which simulators are supported?
Assetto Corsa, ACC, Assetto Corsa EVO, iRacing, Le Mans Ultimate, RaceRoom and Gran Turismo 7 (on PlayStation, over your local network), all verified on track. rFactor 2 too: it only needs the community shared-memory plugin, and the app tells you which one and where it goes. Automobilista 2 and F1 are on the way. The list grows with every update.
Why is there an allowance? And what happens if I run out?
Every engineer action costs real money (Google's Gemini + TTS + STT). The allowance lets us offer you a fixed price with no surprises. If you use it up, the HUD, telemetry and offline alerts keep working; the AI comes back when the next billing period starts, or sooner if you move up to a bigger plan.
Pro subscription vs Creator licence
Subscription (Rookie/Pro): controlled allowance, zero setup. Creator licence: just as easy, but with streamer allowances and commercial rights.
I have a Starter or Endurance plan. What happens to it?
It stays in force. Starter and Endurance can no longer be bought, but they are honoured for anyone who has them: same price, same limits and normal renewal while the subscription stays active. The only condition is that there is no going back — if you cancel or switch to another plan, you will not be able to take them out again.
Can I change plan or cancel?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel whenever you like from the Stripe customer portal. Changes apply from the next billing cycle.
