Honest comparisons

There are good sim racing tools and they don't all do the same thing. Here is what each one does next to SmoothOperator, with sources and a date, and when the other one is the better fit.

SmoothOperator vs CrewChief

CrewChief is the go-to free spotter and race engineer in PC sim racing, and it has been doing it well for years. SmoothOperator takes a different route: an AI engineer you can talk to, a corner-by-corner coach and Gran Turismo 7, which CrewChief doesn't cover.

SmoothOperator vs AI Race Engineer

AI Race Engineer is the product closest to ours: an AI engineer you talk to over the radio. The difference is where each one lives and which games it covers: they started on mobile with F1 and GT7; we started on PC with GT7 and the PC sims.

SmoothOperator vs Track Titan

Track Titan analyses your laps and gives you written tips, with a huge community behind it. SmoothOperator talks to you while you drive. They cover two different moments: studying the lap and driving it.

SmoothOperator vs Trophi

Trophi is an AI voice driving coach, very focused on bringing your lap time down in PC sims. SmoothOperator is more of a race engineer: on top of the coach, it runs your race (spotter, flags, fuel, gaps) and it works with Gran Turismo 7.

SmoothOperator vs Victory

Victory is the go-to app for GT7: telemetry dashboard and voice engineer, on PC, Mac and mobile. SmoothOperator also covers GT7, from a Windows PC, and adds iRacing, Assetto Corsa and other PC sims, with a coach that tells you which corner you lose time in.

CrewChief alternatives

CrewChief is free, open source and works in almost any PC sim. If it works for you, there's no need to switch. But there are reasons to look elsewhere, and here are the options that exist today, with what each one does.
